Payment Security and Card Verification

Hosted card entry

Card number, expiration date, and card security code are entered in an Authorize.Net Accept Hosted payment form. Those fields are served by Authorize.Net, not by Traveling Deal. Our website does not receive or store the full card number or security code.

What happens at checkout

Our server calculates the final amount from the selected itinerary and disclosed checkout items. The hosted form requests an authorization hold for that exact total. An authorization hold is not a completed charge and does not guarantee that a ticket will be issued.

The hosted form requires the card security code and uses a challenge against automated submissions. Billing information is submitted for address verification by the card network and issuer.

Independent transaction verification

After Authorize.Net reports an authorization, our server retrieves the transaction directly from Authorize.Net. It verifies the transaction type, approval status, booking invoice reference, currency, and exact amount. We accept only the address and card-security-code results allowed by our payment controls.

If the transaction details do not match the booking, or the required verification result is not returned, our system does not proceed with ticketing and attempts to void the authorization.

Review, capture, and void

Each authorized order remains pending while the fare and payment are reviewed. We capture no more than the authorized total only after the fare is approved and ready for ticketing. If the booking is rejected or cannot be completed, we void the authorization. A customer's bank or card issuer controls how quickly a voided hold disappears from available funds.

Records we retain

For support, reconciliation, and fraud review, we may retain the Authorize.Net transaction identifier, masked card details such as card type and last four digits, amount and currency, address and card-code result codes, timestamps, and booking activity. We do not retain the full card number or security code.

Production validation

On August 24, 2026, we completed a controlled production test using the live Authorize.Net hosted form. The transaction was authorized, independently verified by our application, and then successfully voided.
